Molecular formula of solute= C12H22011

Molar mass of solute

= 12(12) + 22(1) + 11(16)

= 144 +22 +176

= 342 g

Molarity = 0.1 M

Volume of soln = 2 L

Molarity

= moles of solute / vol of soln

moles = mass / molar mass

Molarity = mass / molar mass × vol of soln

mass = Molarity × molar mass × vol of soln

mass = 0.1 ×342 × 2

mass = 684×0.1

mass = 68.4 g
