The amount of water reabsorbed depends on how much excess water is in the body and on how much of dissolved waste is to be excreted.

  • The phenomenon of reabsorption of water happens during the filtration of the blood.
  • During the filtration of blood also wanted materials like digested food molecules, amino acids, water etc... get seperated
  • But as they are essential material to the body they get reabsorbed in the nephron tube
  • Here the amount of water reabsorbed depends on the amount of excess water that the body already has because if too much of water is already present in the body then it need not absorb more and also on the amount of waste excreted, more the waste lesser will be the amount of water reabsorbed
