The amount of wood plank used to frame a picture depends on the outside lengths of the overall frame. These are then cut at 45⁰ to make the Frame.



1. A square picture of side length 40 cm is to be framed with wood plank of width 4 cm. Find the total length of wood plank required for the frame.

2. A rectangular painting of 60 cm by 40 cm is framed with wood plank of width 8 cm. Find the total length of wood plank required for the frame.​

=160cm. (or)

160cm /100cm. (1m=100cm,1cm=1/100m)
