The amounts of money with Baahu and Bhalla were in the ratio 7 6. Every day, Baahu spends a fixed amount while Bhalla, being more prudent, doesn't spend anything but instead earns an amount, which is one-sixth of what Baahu spends. After six days the amounts with them are in the ratio 10 9. After how many more days will that ratio be less than one for the first time?

Answer:

13 More Days

Step-by-step explanation:

The amounts of money with Baahu and Bhalla were in the ratio 7 6. Every day, Baahu spends a fixed amount while Bhalla, being more prudent, doesn't spend anything but instead earns an amount, which is one-sixth of what Baahu spends. After six days the amounts with them are in the ratio 10 9

Baahu has  = 7X

Bhalla  has  = 6X

Baahu spend = D  => Baahu 6 days Spend = 6D

Bhalla earns = D/6  => Baahu 6 days earning = D

After 6 Days

Bahu has =7X - 6D

Bhalla Has = 6X + D

(7X - 6D)/(6X + D) = 10/9

=> 63X -54D = 60X + 10D

=> 3X = 64D

=> X = 64D/3

Let say After  n more Days Ratio < 1

=> 7X - 6D - nD  < 6X + D + nD/6

=> X  -7D < 7nD/6

=> 64D/3 - 7D  < 7nD/6

=> 128D - 42D < 7nD

=> 86D < 7nD

=> n > 86/7

=> n > 12.3

=> n = 13 Days

After 13 more Days ratio be less than one for the first time
