The amplitude of a wave is represented by y = 0.2 sin 4x
in SI units.
Find
I) wavelength
(ii) frequency
(iii) amplitude of the wave.

Answer:x=10sin2π(100t−0.02x)+10sin2π(100t+0.02x).

⇒10[sinA+sinB],

where

B=2π(100t−0.02x) and

A=2π(100t+0.02x).

Thus,

⇒10[2sin2A+B​sin2A−B​]

⇒20sin(2π100t)sin(2π0.02x).

Comparing the above equation with standard standing wave equation, we get

amplitude =20 and wave vectork=λ2π​=2π×0.02⇒λ=50.

Therefore, the loop length = 2λ​=25
