  • The angels are 40°, 60°, and 80°

Given:

The angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2:3:4

To find:

The angles of the triangle

Let the angles of the triangle be

  • 2x°, 3x°, and 4x°

We know the angle sum property of a triangle

The sum of all three interior angles of a triangle is 180°

So,

2x + 3x + 4x = 180

⇒ 9x = 180

⇒ x = 180 ÷ 9

[By taking 9 to HRS]

∴ x = 20

Now,

The angles of the triangle are

2x° = 2 * 20 = 40°

3x = 3 * 20 = 60°

4x = 4 * 20 = 80°

Triangle

It is a polygon, which has three angles, three vertices, and three sides.

There are three types of triangle,

  1. Equilateral triangle: All the angles are 60° each. All three sides are the same in length.
  1. Isosceles triangle: The two sides are equal and two angles with the along with the equal sides are equal.
  2. Scalene triangle - The triangle in which all sides are different, and all three angles are not equal.
