so,  x+x+70°= 180°

2x+70°=180°
2x=110°

Angle of incidence=Angle of refraction

In the question the angle between the incident ray and refracted ray is 70 degrees. Angle of incidence is the angle between the incident ray and normal. Similarly refracted ray is the angle between the refracted ray and normal. As said they are equal. Therefore,

Angle of incident = 70/2 = 35 degrees.

Angle of refraction= 35 degrees.
