Answer: 42.5°

Explanation:

Given : Angle between incident ray and reflected ray = 85° ••••••{1}

Solution :

Let the angle of reflection be x

Angle between incident ray and reflected ray = Angle of incidence + Angle of Reflection

Angle between incident ray and reflected ray = 2x ••••••{2} (bcz angle of incidence = angle of reflection = x)

Therefore, from {1} & {2}

2x = 85°

x = 85°/2 = 42.5°

So, Angle of reflection = x = 42.5°
