On comparing the above equation in the standard form

a1=2,b1=3,c1=-5

a2=1,b1=-1,c1=-2

by elimination method

2x+3y=5........(i)

x-y=2..........(ii)

multiply by 1in eq. (i) and by 3 in (II) we get

2x+3y=5......(iii)

3x-3y=6......(iv)

on adding (iii) and (iv) we get

5x=11

x=11/5

put x=11/5 in (iii) we get

22/5+3y=5

22+3y=25

3y=3

y=1

therefore ,x=11/5 &

y=1
