The angle
of elevation from a point on the ground is 60 degree , the angle of
elevation of the pillar from a position 10 m above that point is 45 degree . Find the height of the pillar and distance of the point from the base of the pillar ?( WITH DIAGRAM )

hunny135003: how can i show the diagram?

See figure

Tan 45 = h/x+10 =1

h=x+10

tan 60 = h/x= root 3

h = x(root 3)
x=10/( root3 -1)

And h=10(root3)/(root3-1)

praveensingh8344: Second part....?
debanti: DISTANCE OF THE POINT FROM THE BASE OF THE PILLAR ??
praveensingh8344: That is x which is equal to 10/(root3 -1)
debanti: OK... THANKS ...
