Let the height of the tower  from ground = x meter

=> height of the tower corresponding to 10 m height point = x - 10

Let the distance between the foot of the tower and these point = y

Hence we got two right angled triangle,

tan60 = x/y

=> √3 = x/y

=> y = x/√3

Also in the second triangle,

tan45 = (x - 10)/y

=> 1 = (x - 10)/y

=> y = x - 10

=> x/√3 = x - 10

=> x = √3x - 10√3

=> x(√3 - 1) = 10√3

=> x(1.732 - 1 ) = 10 x 1.732

=> x = 17.32/0.732 = 23.66

Hence the height of the tower is 23.66 m
