the angle of elevation of the top of an unfinished tower at a point distance 80 m from its Base is 30 degree. How much higher must the tower be raised so that it's angle of elevation at the same point may be 60 degree?

160 \sqrt{3} \div 3m

Let AB be the unfinished tower and let Ac be the complete tower.Let O be the point of observation.

Than, OA=75m, angle AOB=30 and angle AOC=60 Let AB=h meter and AC=H meter

AB=tan60

H/75=1/root3

=H=75×root3m

Hence, the required height is (H-h)m=(50root3)m
