Hi mate

Note: We know that two angles are complementary when they add up to 90 degrees.

Let one angle be x.

Then the complement of it = 90-x.

Given that An angle is equal to 5 times its complement.

x = 5(90 - x)

x = 450 - 5x

6x = 450

x = 450/6

x = 75.

Hence the measure of an angle = 75. The other will be 90 - x = 90 - 75 = 15.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Hi mate,

Here is the answer,

This will be the equation x=5(90-x)solution=

= x=5(90-x)

x=5(90-x)        x+5x=90

   x+5x=90     6x=90

  6x=90  6x/6=90/6   {divide by 6 to both the side to x}

  x=15

  x=15ans= The angle is 15 degree and its compliment angle is 75 degree
