Let x , ( 90 - x ) are two
complementary angles .
according to the problem given,
smaller angle is 40° less than larger
angle .
x - ( 90 - x ) = 40°
=> x - 90 + x = 40
=> 2x = 40 + 90
=> 2x = 130
x = 130/2
x = 65°
Therefore ,
Required angles are ,
i ) x = 65°
ii ) 90 - x = 90 - 65 = 25°
