Ques:the angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 4:5:6:9 find the sum of smallest and greatest angle.

Solution:

ratio of angles= 4:5:6:9

since,the sum of all 4 angles of a quadrilateral is 360.

hence, 4:5:6:8=360

sum of smallest angles= 4x+5x

sum of the greatest angles=6x+9x

4x+5x+6x+9x=360

24x=360

x=15

_______________________

sum of smallest angles= 4x+5x

=4(15)+5(15)

=135

_______________________

sum of the greatest angles=6x+9x

=6(15)+9(15)

=225

Answer:

let the angles be 4x, 5x, 5x and 6x

a/q

4x+5x+5x+6x=360°(angle sum property)

20x=360°

x=360/20=18

therefore angles are 4×18=72, 5×18=90, 5×18=90, 6×18=108
