The angles of elevation of the top of a tower from two points at a distance of 4 m and 9 m from the base of the tower and in the same straight line with it are complementary. Prove that the height of the tower is 6 m.​

Answer:

Let AB be the hight of the tower = x m

BD be distance between foot of tower and 2nd point = 4m

BC be distance between foot of the tower and 1st point = 9m

CD be the distance between two points = 5m

To prove -> AB= 6m

Given /_ACB = θ , /_ADB = 90-θ

i.e., /_ ACB and /_ADB are complementary
