Because to make Earth come closer to it, the Sun accelerates Earth “down”. The result is a larger linear velocity. I hope this helps you. :)

Answer:

The angular velocity of the earth around the sun increases when it comes closer to the sun because it makes the earth come closer to the sun. The sun accelerates the earth towards the downward direction. The result that comes out that is a larger linear velocity.

According to the formula is :

larger linear velocity+ smaller orbit= larger angular velocity.
