The announcement of banning of French districts of Alsace and Loraine created a deep impact of M. Hamel because now he has to leave the school with which he has a lot of memories. Secondly he tried his best to gave all his knowledge to the students and villagers present their as he was sorry for them as they had lost the opportunity to learn their mother tongue properly.
