Cimetidine and Rantidine are the antacid drugs which are designed to prevent the interaction of histamine with the receptors present in the stomach. As a result, there is lesser production of Hydrochloric Acid which is the root cause of acidity. There are other drugs present in the market for acidity as well like sodium hydrogencarbonate and aluminium hydroxide but these function in a different manner. They react with the acid to neutralize it. As the former ones treat the cause of acidity, they are considered better.

CIMETIDINE OR TAGAMENT is the antacid drug designed to avoid interaction of histamine with receptors in stomach wall.

Explanation:

Hyperactivity is the condition in which the food flows back into Esophagus after partial digestion. This causes a condition which may lead to heart burn and also causes nausea.

Histamine was considered as superior medicine for this alignment. As it is given orally, in order to prevent its interaction with receptors in stomach wall, drug named Cimetidine is used.
