Answer :-

when Arabs came to India they called Indian Subcontinent as Al-Hind and an Indian as Hindi or Hindu.

The entire Indian subcontinent is referred to as Al-Hind by the Arabs and Indians are referred to as Hindi.

When they say Hind, they do not include or refer to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Srilanka, etc.

It is said that Arabs refer to India as Hind because it has the same spelling in Arabic.

The Arabs view the whole of India as one unit and hence, refer to it as Hind.
