Given :-

  • The area of a circle is equal to the area of a rectangle with sides 112 m and 88 m respectively.

Have to Find :-

  • Find the circumference of the circle.

Solution :-

As from the given we know , area of circle is equal to area of rectangle.

So,

Area of circle = πr²

Area of Rectangle = length × breadth

Let's find out area of rectangle first.

➤ Length ↬ 112 m

➤ Breadth ↬ 88 m

Then it's area 112 × 88 = 9856 m²

Now,

According to question :-

➤ πr² = 9856

22/7 × r² = 9856

↬ r² = 9856 × 7/22

↬ r² = 3136

↬ r = √3136

r = 56 m

Therefore, we got the radius now.

Finding circumference of circle .

➤ Circumference of circle = 2πr

➤ Circumference = 2 × 22/7 × 56

C = 352 m
