let's consider length of base as x

so the corresponding height=2x

solution:

area of parallelogram = length of base+corresponding height

putting values we get,

72=3x

72/3=x

x=24

Answer:

Let length = x

and height = 2x

Area of parallelogram = base × height

72 = x × 2x

72= 2x square

x square = 36

x = 6 cm

Length of corresponding base = 6 cm
