The area of a rectangle gets reduced by 6square units, if its length is reduced by 2units and breadth is increased by 2units. If we increase the length by 3 units and the breadth by 2 units, the area increases by 79 square units.find the dimensions of rectangular field.

let x be the length and y be the breadth

since area of rectangle = length*breadth

        area of recetangle = xy
now,

ATQ
(x-2)(y+2) = (xy - 6)

and
(x+3)(y+2)=( xy + 79)

solving  above equations we get the dimensions or length and breadth
