Given Area of the rectangle = 42 sq. cm

Given Breadth of the rectangle = 6cm

To Find - Perimeter of the rectangle.

Now, To find the Perimeter, The length and the breadth of the rectangle is required, We are given only breadth.

But we can find the length of the rectangle with the help of its area.

As we know that,

Area if the rectangle = Length (l) × Breadth (b)

Therefore,

l × b = 42

l × 6 = 42

6l = 42

l = 42 ÷ 6

l = 7cm

So, Length of the rectangle = 7cm

and breadth if the rectangle = 6cm

Therefore, Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 2(7 + 6)

=> 2 × 13

=> 26 cm is the perimeter of the rectangle.
