let the width. be x

∴ length =[x +7]

The area of a rectangle is 60 in²

The area of a rectangle is l*b

60 in² =[x +7]×x

60 in²=x^2+7x

x^2+7x -60=0

x^2+12x-5x -60=0

x[x+12] -5  [x+12] =0

[x-5]  [x+12]  =0

x=5 ,x=-12

width. be x =5 in ans

length =[x +7]  5+7 =12 in ans

width= area÷length
