Area of rectangle = L×B
96 = L×8
L = 96/8
Length of rectangle = 12cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2×(l+b)
= 2× (12+8)
= 2×20
Perimeter of rectangle =40 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area \:  \:  of  \:  \: Rectangle = Length × Breadth \\ \\ 96 \: cm = Length \times 8 \: cm \\ \\ \frac{96}{8}  = Length \\ \\\underline{ \underline{ 12 \: cm}} = Length \\ \\ \\ Perimeter  \:  \: of  \:  \: Rectangle = 2(L + B) \\ \\ Perimeter  \:  \: of  \:  \: Rectangle = 2(12 + 8) \\ \\ Perimeter  \:  \: of  \:  \: Rectangle = 2(20) \\ \\ Perimeter  \:  \: of  \:  \: Rectangle = \underline{ \underline{ 40 \: cm}}
