let the breadth be . b

so lenght will be , 2b

perimeter of square divided by 4 gives u side that is 240/4= 60m

now area of sq = 60*60= 3600 m^

area of sq. = area of rectangle

= l*b , now we put l= 2b

so, 3600m^= 2b*b

3600= 3b^

solving we get value of b then we can take ratio

Answer:

length is 80

breadth is 40

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

as given240=2(l+b)

as length is doubled

240=2(2l+b)

120=2l+b

we can take l= 2b

120=3b

b=40

L=80

area of rectangle{ l×b}

area=3200
