The dimensions are 5.4 and -0.8

1) Let the original length be x and breadth be y

2) According to first statement, (x+1)(y-3)= xy-20 or xy + y-3x -3 = xy-20 or 3x-y=17

2) According to second statement, (x-3)(y+4) = xy +12 or xy-3y+4x-12 = xy+12 or 4x-3y =24

4) Solvig these equations give x= 5.4 and y= -0.8
