Answer:

Area of the rectangular garden=690 sq.m

Length of the rectangular garden = 30 m

Therefore, breadth of the rectangular garden = (690 ÷ 30) m = 23 m

Length of the rectangular garden = 30 m

Breadth of the rectangular garden = 23 m

Therefore, Perimeter of the rectangular garden = 2(l+b) = 2(30 + 23) cm

= (2×53)cm = 106 cm

Answer -:

  • Breadth of the garden = 23 m.
  • Perimeter of the garden = 106 m.

Solution -:

Given -:

  • Area of the rectangular garden = 690 sq.m.
  • Length of the garden = 30 m.

To find -:

  • Breadth of the garden.
  • Perimeter of the garden.

Step-by-step explanation -:

Since the garden is in the shape of a rectangle, therefore we will find the breadth and perimeter using the formula to find the area of a rectangle.

Area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth.

Now, let the breadth of the garden be x.

Given -:

30 m \:\times\: x = 690 \ sq.m

30x \ m= 690 \ sq.m

x  = \dfrac{690 \ sq.m}{30 \ m}

x = 23 \:m.

Thus, the breadth is 23 m.

Now, to find the perimeter, we will apply the formula used to find the perimeter of a rectangle.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (L + B).

Length = 30 m.

Breadth = 23 m.

Therefore, we have -:

2 \ (30 \: m + 23 \: m)

60 \: m + 46 \: m

= 106 \: m.

Thus, the perimeter of the garden = 106 m.

So, finally we have -:

Breadth = 23 m.

Perimeter = 106 m.
