Solution

Given :-

  • the area of a rectangular lawn is the same as the area
  • Side of Square = 18 unit
  • Length of rectangular lawn = 27 units

Find :-

  • Perimeter of rectangular lawn

Explanation

Using Formula

Area of Square = (Side)²

Area of Rectangle = (Length × Breadth)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 { (Length + Breathe)

So, According to question

==> Area of rectangular lawn = Area of Square

==> 27 × Breadth = (18)²

==> Breadth × 27 = 324

==> Breadth = 324/27

==> Breadth = 12

Now, Calculate perimeter of rectangular lawn

==> perimeter of rectangular lawn = 2 × ( 27 + 12)

==> perimeter of rectangular lawn = 2 × 39

==> perimeter of rectangular lawn = 78 units.

Hence

  • perimeter of rectangular lawn will be = 78 units.

Answer:

perimeter of a rectangle = 2× ( length + breadth)

= 2× (18 + 27 )

= 45

= 45 × 2

= 90
