Answer:

area of a rhombus= 1/2×d1×d2

120 cm = 1/2×16 cm ×d2

d2= (120/8) cm

therefore d2 = 15 cm

Find the another diagonal of a rhombus whose one diagonal is 16cm.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

\large\bold{\underline{Given}} :

  • Area of this rhombus = 120cm²
  • One diagonal = 16cm

\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{Answer}}}  \: -

\large\orange{\fbox{\tt{Area\:of\:a\:rhombus\:=\:½\:×\:d¹\:×\:d²}}}

→ let the other diagonal be y

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So, area of this rhombus acc. to the formula =

 \sf120 \: cm {}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{ \not{2}} \times \not{16} \times y \\  \\  \implies \sf120 \: cm {}^{2}  = 8 \times y \\  \implies \sf y = \frac{ { \large\not}{120}}{ \not{8}} \\  \implies \boxed { \bold{y = 15 \: cm}}

The other diagonal of this rhombus is 15cm long.
