Question

the area of a rhombus is 12sq cm .if one diagonal is of 20 cm, find the other diagonal

Answer

Given.

correction

area is 120 as u tell me in answer inbox

area \: of \: rhombous = 120 {cm}^{2}

diagonal=20 cm

Formula used

area \: of \: rhombous =  \frac{1}{2}  \times d(1) \times d(2)

put values in formula we get

120 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 20 \times d(2)

240 = 20 \times d(2)

 \frac{240}{20}  = d(2)

 d(2) = 12 \: cm

Hence

Another diagonal of rhombus is 12 cm

Answer

12 Cm

 \red {\huge{solution}}
in \: the \: question \: silly \: \\ mistake \: area \: of \: rhombus \\ \: is \: equal \: to \: {120cm}^{2} .

Given

Area \: of \: Rhombusu \: is \: \\ equal \: to \: {120cm}^{2} . \\ diagonal \: of \: Rhombus \: is \\ \: equal \: to \: 20cm.

Here we using formula ,

Area of Rhombus =\frac{1}{2} \times d_{1} × d_{2}

Now we putting the value of area of Rhombus and diagonals.

120 = \frac {1}{2} \times 20 × d_{2}

120 = \frac{1}{2} \times 20 × d_{2}

120 = \frac{1}{2} \times 20 \times d_{2} \\ \\ 120 = 10 \times d_{2} \\ \\ d_{2} = \frac{120}{10} \\ \\ = 12cm

therefore the Diagonal is equal to 12 cm.
