Perimeter = 24m

We know that Perimeter of a rhombus = 4 × side.

So,

4 × side = 24

=> side = 24/4

=> side = 6m

Area of rhombus = side × altitude

Given that side = 6 and area = 42m, so,

42 = 6 × altitude

=> altitude = 42/6

=> altitude = 7 m

Answer :- 7 m

Given, perimeter is 24m

Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side

➾ 24 = 4 × side

➾ Side = \dfrac{24}{4}

➾ Side = 6m

Given, area of a rhombus is 42m²

Area of Rhombus = b × h, where b = side and h = height or altitude

By putting the values,

42m² = 6 × h

➾ h = \dfrac{42}{6}

➾ h = 7

∴ The altitude of the rhombus is 7m
