let the base be 8 cm
area of triangle=24 cm square
24=1/2 *8* height
24*2/4= height
48/4= height
6 cm=height
using phythagorus theorm 
H^2=b^2 +p^2
hypotenuse = 8^2 + 6^2
               h^2=  64 +36
               h^2=  100
                  h=  10cm

Area of triangle =1/2×b×h
=>1/2×b×8=24
=>b=6cm
By Pythagoras theorem...
AB sq+BC sq=AC sq
8×8+6×6=AC sq
64+36= AC sq
√100= AC
AC =10 cm..
Hypotenuse is 10cm
