area of square= area of rectangle

(side)² = l×b

24² = L× 16

24×24 = L ×16

576/16 =L

L = 36

hope it will help , if u have any doubt then ask.

Solution:

Given,

  • Side of the square = 24 cm
  • Breadth of Rectangle = 16 cm

Let Side of Square and Length and Breadth of Rectangle be (S) and (L) and (B) respectively.

Now, According to the Question Statement;

Statement: Area of a square and rectangle are equal.

Area of Square = Area of Rectangle

☞ (Side)² = L × B

☞ (24cm)² = L × 16 cm

☞576

•°• ☞ Length = 576/16

= 36 cm

Therefore, Required the length of the rectangle is 36cm.
