Let, the length of the diagonal be d

We know,

1 hectare = 10,000m^2

Thus,

1/2 hectare = 5,000 m

Now,

Applying Pythagoras theorem,

1/2 (diagonal)^2=5000

Thus,

=> (diagonal)^2 = 5000×2

=> (d)^2= 10,000

=> d =  \sqrt{10000}

=> d= 100m

Thus, the length of the diagonal is 100m
