Question:

The area of a square is 256 cm. Find:

(i) the length of each side of the square

(ii) the perimeter of the square.

Answer:

(i)  Area \:of square = \huge {side²}

Therefore, Side = \large√Area

 = √256

 = 16

(ii)  Perimeter \:of square =\large {side×4}

= 16 × 4

= 64
