side of square = s*s= √256=16 cm
perimeter =16+16+16+16=64 cm

This is your answer.

Given :-

Area of square = Side² = 256 cm².

SIDE = √Area
SIDE = √256
 =  \sqrt{2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2}
= 2×2×2×2
= 16 cm.

Perimeter of square= 4 × side
=4×16
= 64 cm..
