The area of a square of side 16 cm is the same as that of a rectangle of length 64 cm. What is the breadth of the rectangle?​

As we know that,

Area of square =a²

Here a is the length of side of square.

Therefore,

Area of given square =16²

=256cm²

Length of rectangle =64cm

Area of rectangle = Area of square (Given)

Therefore,

Area of rectangle =l×b

b×64=256

b =  \frac{256}{64}

breadth=4
