Hello,
we calculate the area of the square:
A=l
²=8²=64 cm²
the area of the rectangle is also equal to:
A=64 cm²
we calculate the breadth of the rectangle:
h=A:b=64:32=2 cm

bye :-)

SOLUTION :

The side of the square = 8 cm (given)

The length of the rectangle = 32 cm  (given)

According to the question,

The area of square = area of rectangle

We know that,

Formula of area of a square = \bf { {a}^{2} } unit sq.

[ ∴  in which a is the side of the square ]

and

Formula of area of a rectangle = lb unit sq.

[ ∴ in which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

To  be found :-

The breadth of the rectangle

Area of square = Area of rectangle

\bf { {a}^{2} } = lb

\bf { {(8)}^{2} } = 32 × b   [ as the length of the rectangle is 32 cm ]

⇒ 64 = 32 × b

⇒ 64 ÷ 32 = b

⇒ 2 = b

Hence,

The breadth of the rectangle is 2 cm
