Solution :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}}}

  • Area of trapezium = 1586 cm²
  • Distance between it's parallel sides = 26 cm
  • One parallel side = 84 cm

\underline{\bf{To\:find\::}}}}

The other side of trapezium.

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}}}

Let the other side of trapezium be r cm

We know that formula of the area of trapezium :

\boxed{\bf{Area\:of\:trapezium=\frac{1}{2} \times (sum\:of\:parallel\:side's)\times height}}}

A/q

\longrightarrow\sf{1586=\dfrac{1}{2} \times (84 + r) \times 26 }}\\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{1586\times 2=2184+26r}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{3172=2184+26r}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{26r=3172-2184}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{26r=988}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{r=\cancel{988/26}}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{r=38\:cm}}

Thus;

The other side of trap. will 38 cm .
