let the one parallel side be x other =x+6
area=1/2 ×9×(x+x+6)

Answer :

The two parallel sides are 17 cm and 23 cm.

Step-by-step explanation :

Let the parallel sides be x and ( x + 6 ).

According to the question ;

Area of trapezium = 1 / 2 × ( x + x + 6 ) × 9

⇒ 180 = 9 ( 2x + 6 ) / 2

⇒ 9 ( 2x + 6 ) = 180 × 2

⇒ 18x + 54 = 360

⇒ 18x = 360 - 54

⇒ 18x = 306

⇒ x = 306 / 18

⇒ x = 17 cm.

Therefore, the parallel sides are ;

x = 17 cm.

x + 6 = 23 cm
