The area of a trapezium is 300m².The perpendicular distance between the two parallel sides is 15m. if the difference of parallel sides is 16m, find the length of the parallel sides​

= 1/2*(x+x+16)*15,

given tht area=300 m^2

implies, 300 = 1/2 * (2x +16) * 15

300 *2/15= 2x+16

600/15= 2x+16

40=2x+16

40 - 16 = 2x

24= 2x

24/2 = x

implies x=12 m

other side y = 12+16 = 28 m
