Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :length of one parallel side =12 cm ,height=6 cm

and area = 42 cm ,to find =other parallel side so let the other parallel side =x

Solution:

area of a trapezium =1/2*(x+12)*6

42/6 =1/2(x+12)

2*7 =x+12

14-12=x

hence x =2

so, the other parallel  side =2

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of Trapezium = 1/2 × (Sum of the lengths of parellel sides ) × (height)

42 cm² = 1/2 × (12 + CD) × 6

42 = 3 ( 12 + CD)

14 = 12 + CD

CD = 2 cm

other parellel side of this Trapezium is 2 cm
