the area of a trapezium is 475 cm square and its height is 19 cm. find the lengths of its two parallel sides if one side is 4 cm greater than the other​

solengthofotherparallelside=a+4

giventheareaoftrapezium=475&theheight=19

nowareaofatrapezium= 1/2×height×(sumoftheparallelsides)

⇒ 1/2 ×19×[a+(a+4)]=475

⇒2a+4= 19475×2

⇒2a+4=25×2

⇒2a+4=50

⇒2a=50−4

⇒2a=46

⇒a= 46/2

=23

∴lengthofsmallerparallelsideoftrapezium=23

&lengthofotherparallelsideoftrapezium=23+4=27
