the area of a trapezium is 900 sqcm.The distance between the parallel sides is 24cm.If one of the parallel sides is double the other,find the length of two sides

let the one parallel be x but other is double so 2x

area of trapezium =1/2×(sum of parallel side)×height

900=1/2×(2x+x)×24
900=1/2×3x×24
900=3x×12
900=36x
x=900/36
x=25


first parallel =x=25
other parallel=2x=2×25=50
