Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let length of first side =x

Length of second side=2x

Area of trapezium=1/2(sum of parallel sides) ×height

1/2(x+2x) ×24=900

3x×24=900×2

3x=1800/24

3x=75

X=25

Length of first side=25

Length of second side =2×25=50

Dear Student,

● Answer -

a = 25 cm

b = 50 cm

● Explaination -

Given that area of a Trapezium is 900 sq.cm.

A = 900 sq.cm

h = 24 cm

Also given,

b = 2a

Area of trapezium is -

A = (a+b)h/2

900 = (a+2a) × 24/2

3a = 900 / 12

3a = 75

a = 25 cm

So other side is -

b = 2a

b = 2×25

b = 50 cm

Hence, opposite sides of trapezium are 25 cm and 50 cm.

Hope this helps you...
