Answer:

The given details are:

Length of the parallel sides are 14cm and 18cm and height (h)=9cm

By using the formula

Area of trapezium =1/2×(sum of parallel sides)×height

=1/2×(14+18)×9

=144cm

Answer:

AREA OF TRAPEZIUM = 96cm²

FORMULA FOR AREA OF TRAPEZIUM = a + b / 2 × h ( HERE A AND B ARE THE PARALLEL SIDES )

NOW 1st PARALLEL SIDE ( A ) = 18cm

2nd PARALLEL SIDE ( B ) = 14cm

HEIGHT = X

SO :

18 + 14 / 2 × X = 96

32 / 2 × X = 96

16 × X = 96

X = 96 / 16

X = 6

SO THE HEIGHT OF TRAPEZIUM = 6cm
