Answer:

Height of the trapezium= 4cm

Area of trapezium=16cm2

Length of one side of trapezium=4cm

As we know area of trapezium =1/2(sum of parallel sides)

Or 1/2(5+x )4 = 16 (by putting the values}

=Or 1/2(20+4x) = 16

Or (10+2x) = 16

Or 10+2x = 16

Or 2 x = 16-10

Or 2x=6

Or x = 6/2

Therefore x =3cm

THEREFORE THE LENGTH OF OTHER PARALLEL SIDE=3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

(A+B)/2×h=16cm²

=) (4cm+B)/2 × 4 cm = 16cm²

=) (4cm + B )=(16cm²×2)/4cm=8cm

=) B = 8cm-4cm= 4cm

Req. side=4cm
