Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of Square = s × s

Here, side of square = 10m

Therefore, ar(square)= 10×10=100m^2

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

Here, h = 5m

Therefore, ar(triangle) = 1/2 × b × 5 = 100

Therefore, b = 100/5 × 2 = 40m

Dear Friend!

Question:→

The area of the triangle is equal to that of square whose each side measures 10 m. Find the side of the triangle whose corresponding altitude is 5 m.

→  Method of Solution:

→  Given: Area of Triangle is Equal to that of Square!

→  Side of Square = 10 metres✔

Corresponding Altitude of Triangle = 5 metres!

•°→ Area of Square = (Side)²

→  Area of Square = (10m)²✔

Therefore, Area of Square = 100m²

Now, According to the Question's Statement!

Let the other side of Triangle be a metre!

Area of Triangle = 1/2×base ×Altitude

→  100=1/2× a × 5 ✔

→  100×2=5a✔

→   200=5a✔

•°•.  →  a = 40 m

→ Hence, Required other Length of Triangle is 40 metre! →
